What is Blackboard?

Utrecht University uses the virtual learning environment Blackboard in its curriculum. A virtual learning environment (VLE) is a digital workplace and classroom, where the students’ learning processes are supported through information exchange, discussions, (peer) feedback, tests, etc. A VLE is always accessible via Internet. Correct utilisation of a VLE can make the curriculum design more efficient and effective.
